About CTET 2015

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is an Entrance Examination which is compulsory for candidates if he/she wants to get appointed as a Teacher in Central Government School through CBSE. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) to the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts CTET examination twice in a year to find eligible candidates for Teacher posts. This year too, CBSE has notified CTET 2015 Examination date which has been scheduled to be held 20th September 2015.

Primary Level Teachers – (For Class 1 to 5)
Junior Level Teachers – (For Class 6 to 8)

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: There are no age limitations for CTET 2015. Read official notification for more details about age.

Educational Qualification: Read educational qualification below.
For Class I to V (Primary Level) Teachers:
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
For Class VI to VIII (Elementary Stage) Teachers:
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

For One Paper Exam: General and OCB category candidates need to pay Rs. 500/- while SC/ST/PWD and other reserved category candidates will have to only Rs. 300/-.
For Both the two Paper Exam: General and OCB category candidates need to pay Rs. 1000/- while SC/ST/PWD and other reserved category candidates will have to only Rs. 600/-.

Selection Procedure: Eligible Candidate will be selected for Teacher posts based on their marks obtained in Written Examination of CTET 2015.

How to Apply: All those candidates who wish to apply for CTET 2015 are required to fill online application form from CTET official website at www.ctet.nic.in or www.cbse.nic.in from 15th July to 4th August 2015. After filling online application for CTET Sept 2015 candidates need to download system generated application form and send it along with relevant documents to the following address given below.

Online Application Form: Before start filling online application, candidates must have scanned images of photograph and signature (in JPG format only) and a copy of Secondary Education Board Class X Certificate.

  • Select ‘Apply Online for CTET – Sept 2015’ link.
  • Fill in the Online Application Form
  • Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature
  • Pay Examination Fee by Challan or debit/ credit card
  • Update fee details on CTET website if payment made through Challan of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
  • Print Confirmation page for future reference, if required.
