The much awaited SSC CGL 2016 Recruitment notification has been released by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Candidates who fall in SSCCGL Eligibility criteria can apply for Graduate Level examination this year.
What are the important points of SSC CGL 2016?
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is responsible for conducting Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. SSC conducts CGL Exam regularly every year. SSC has also introduced some new changes in its Recruitment process through Combined Graduate Level examination which are given below.
I.Online registrations or application submission will be from 13 February to 10 March 2016. We highly recommend candidates to apply in advance to avoid last minute rush.
2SSC CGL Tier I written exam will be held on 8 & 22 May 2016. CGL Tier II exam is likely to be conducted in August 2016.
3Neither Tier I nor Tier II exam of SSC CGL will be online. Hence, candidates are advised to practice on OMR Sheet only.
Proposal is still pending with the government for an online exam for SSC CGL 2016.
4A Gazetted Officer Post ‘Assistant Audit Officer’ has been added to SSC CGL under Indian Audit & Accounts Department under CAG with grade pay of 4800. Read about Posts under SSC CGL.
5Another Post ‘Assistant Section Officer’ has to be filled through SSC CGL under Central Secretariat Service (CSS) with grade pay of 4600.
Upper Age limit is 30 for both the newly added posts in SSC CGL.
6All Women candidates and male/ female candidates of SC/ ST, Physically Handicapped & Ex-Servicemen category candidates are completely exempted from paying application fees.
7Age Limitation will be considered as on August 1, 2016. We recommend candidate not to calculate your age from 1st January. Age relaxation is also applicable for category candidates.
8There will be No Interviews for any posts through SSC CGL 2016. This time, there will Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test (whichever is required) at the final stage.
9Candidates have to mention their order of post preference at the time of online registrations. Post preference order cannot be changed in future.
10Candidates will be able to download OMR Answer sheet after declaration of result (Tier I & Tier II).
*A bonus point: The list of vacancies in each category shall be published one month before the final results.
