SSC CHSL 2016 Age Limit & Educational Qualifications

SSC CHSL Age Limitations: 
Age limit for SSC CHSL (10+2) 2016 examination is between 18 years to 27 years as on 01.01.2017. In other words, candidates born not before 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-1999 are eligible to apply for below listed posts. There is age relaxation of 3 year for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ ST category candidates.

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification: 
Educational qualification for SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL 2016) exam is given below. Candidates must possess the following qualifications.

(I) Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
Candidates who have not acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University in support thereof as on 01.01.2017 will also be eligible.

(II) Candidates opting for English medium should have typing speed of 35 words per minute and those opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute.
All candidates who are called for appearing at the Typing Test/Skill Test will be required to produce the relevant Certificate in Original such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificate, etc.

SSC CHSL 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Q. I am in the last year/ semester of College? Am I eligible?
Answer: No. You are not eligible for SSC CHSL 2016. Candidates who have not completed their graduation on or before 1st January 2017 can’t apply for this exam. Such candidate will be rejected at document verification stage. 

Q. I have completed 10+2 from a Distance Educational Course. Is it valid or can I apply for SSC CHSL Exam?
Answer: Yes. Distance Educational University is eligible for SSC CHSL. If you have done your Intermediate from any Distance Educational Institutes recognized by Distance Education Council, such as NIOS, you are eligible.
